Who Wants to Live Longer?

There seems to be an obsession with wanting to live longer. Do you want to live longer? Have you ever watched the multitude of infomercials?

They are targeting 2 main topics – weight loss and aging. But they are targeting people who want a quick fix to these problem areas.

Do we really need the quick fix? Unfortunately it seems like we do…or one would think so because of all the commercials, informercials and ads out on the market.

Instead of a quick fix, which is truly impossible; it’s important to focus on our health. Notice how I mention ‘we’ and ‘our’? Yes, because we all need to be reminded of the importance of our health and not merely what we look like on the outside. 

It may be wonderful to look thin and slim and wrinkle-free but truly how healthy are we? You’d be amazed at how truly unhealthy many of the ‘thinner’ people are. 

When we switch the focus to health and not merely the appearance; we need to then focus on 2 important factors. The 2 very important factors to achieving health are:

  • Food
  • Physical Activity

The only way to achieve a healthier lifestyle is to monitor what foods you eat and including physical activity into your daily routine. That is truly the only way to stay healthy! Sure, everyone wants the quick fix, but honestly how long did it take to get to the weight that you are? How can you possibly lose it over night? It is actually impossible!

The time is now to re-evaluate your life and if you truly want to live longer and healthier, look at how you live…

It is impossible to live longer and healthier if you continue to do the following:

  • eat fast foods
  • smoke
  • drink alcohol
  • don’t exercise
  • don’t sleep enough hours (at least 6-7 hours per night)
  • don’t reduce stress in your life
  • don’t take action today!

It isn’t as hard as you may think! Consider making these 3 changes and you will see a huge difference in your health almost immediately. Ready? Do the following:

1. Stop drinking soft drinks

2. Stop eating fast foods

3. Include 30 minutes of physical activity every single day

Notice those 3 things are not impossible to do, but many will not succeed. It’s truly up to you to make the effort to change your habits today!

Make the effort to plan your meals ahead of time and shop accordingly. Not only will you save money but you will avoid the last minute runs to the grocery store which usually lead to purchasing ready made foods and those that are simply unhealthy for you and your family.

The time is NOW to make the change in your life! 

I have all the confidence in the world that if you truly want to live a happier and healthier lifestyle, you can!
